Why invest in ETFs?

Exchange-Traded Funds (also known as ETFs or Tracking Stocks) are index funds that trade just like any other stock on major stock exchanges. If you want to invest in the market without the volatility or exposure associated with one particular stock, ETFs make a practical investment vehicle. Most major stock indexes have ETFs that you can invest in. These include:

Nasdaq Composite (Symbol: QQQQ)
Dow Jones Industrial Average (Symbol: DIA)
Standard & Poor's 500 Index (Symbol: SPY)

If you want to invest in a particular asset class and you're not sure which individual stock to invest in, see if there is a corresponding ETF available that suits your needs.

Of course, this list is provided for informational purposes only, and is not deemed to be a recommendation or solicitation. MyStockFund is not compensated in any manner to include these ETFs in our TOP 5 list.

Did you know that by purchasing shares in the QQQQs, you are actually buying the weighted equivalent of the entire Nasdaq 100 Index? Diversification in one security.
